When my 14 year old daughter developed Swine Flu there seemed little I could do, having felt under the weather for days her symptoms suddenly increased. A soaring temperature, aching muscles, nausea, sore throat, signs of a chest infection and crushing headache, not to mention her vulnerability. She was a little girl again, tearful and scared. Having dismissed Swine Flu as 'Flu' which claims many lives every year, now I was scared too. As I sat in my darkened living room, she fainted in my arms, six hours of vomiting later I was sitting with her while she lay in the bath. I can't remember the last time she wanted mum in the bathroom, a sure sign that she was very poorly.

The following day and after a thorough consultation with Sadhna to establish which remedies to use, Sadhna arrived, smiling and supportive.

Within hours the respiratory symptoms had all but vanished and the debilitating headache subsided, across the following days the symptoms were alleviated like peeling layers off an onion. As expected it took a fortnight for her to fully recover but watching her symptoms vanish was amazing. There is as we know little to do for a virus and the side effects of 'Tamiflu' can be tough on a child. Jess could have used homeopathy alongside 'Tamiflu', she chose not to as she has always had good results from homeopathy. When alopecia began to rob her of the golden hair she could sit on, homeopathy had it growing back within weeks, now you would never know, our hairdresser was stunned.

Homeopathy is a gentle cure, gradually erasing the causes and symptoms. As a Holistic Therapist myself with an NHS background I feel I am making educated choices and giving Jessica choice was also part of the healing process so often lost when illness strikes.Homeopathy involves the patient, their input is essential to the remedy. Sadhna is the ideal combination, kindness and empathy allied with expertise in her field as a family we could ask for no one better as our homeopath. With fears of a re emergence of Swine Flu and other winter complaints it is a real comfort to know that we have Sadhna and Homeopathy to re balance our lives.
